Life in Groznjan
The hilltop village of Groznjan sits amid wooded countryside on the Istrian penninsula, within sight of the Adriatic coastline. Its narrow cobbled streets are barred to traffic, and for much of the time the loudest sounds are birdsongs, church bells, and the sigh of the wind across the ancient stone walls and tiled roofs.

The Jeunesses Musicales Cultural Centre includes several beautiful old stone houses that provide simple but comfortable accommodations with shared bathrooms and showers. Three generous meals are provided daily by the local restaurant, and the kitchen of the restaurant is vegetarian friendly.

We have complete use of a large stone music school with a dance room and several piano-equipped rehearsal rooms, a separate studio with a grand piano, and a concert hall in the village castle with a stage and a concert grand.

We plan an occasional visit to the sea or to neighboring villages, and we encourage leisurely conversations on the piazza. Students are free to take long walks in the beautiful countryside.
